New Nerites
Hello! Welcome to this post. I just had some new Nerite snail species arrive, and nerites are one of the most popular snail families in the aquarium hobby, because of their stunning colours, many species, and they cannot breed in freshwater.
So today, I got two new.. fairly common species in the hobby.
These are Neritina natalensis, the zebra nerite. They are a pretty large sized nerite with amazing black stripes on a yellow background.
Aren't they pretty? Next up is a very interesting looking one.
Meet Clithon corona. They are found in Southeast Asia in small, high-flow streams. They have pretty interesting shells with horns which gives them the common name Horned Nerite.
The horned ones as you can see are the smaller, tannish-green ones.
Anyway, that's all for this post. Thank you once again for reading and I'll see you in the next one.
Goodbye!
